Cure for AIDS?
Congrats to
BYU professor Paul D. Savage may have found cure for
AIDS! The
professor synthetically invented a compound known as
CSA-54, a family
of compounds called Ceregenins (CSA), which directly
targets the
molecular membrane of the HIV virus and kills the
virus. Although still
in its infant studies, CSA's have been studied
scrutinously for 8 years
and only known to kill viruses for the past year. All
of the testings
have proven effectively to kill the HIV virus.
Both BYU and Vanderbilt University has jointly filed
patents for
CSA-54. However, the license holder is Ceregenix
Pharmeceuticals who
sponsored the studies. FDAs could approve the virus
killing agent
within 3-7 years but may push to 2008. CSA-54 could
very well prove to
be an unprecedented breakthrough for the cure for
AIDS.
One of my friend may die within 6 months becos no drug
is able to treat him from aids.
If this invention drug is available within 3 to 6
months we can save million's of lives.
Even the drug cost more also no problem becos it can
be earned back from hard work it is the life that is
important becos man's life comes once in million
years.
Every body in this earth or born out of chance not of
a choice.
My sincere request is drug should be available within
6 months of time.
Becos research has already taken 8 years.
If no serious side effects then it should be available

i agree if no harm to humans then why wait 3 to 7 years or longer

Isnt it astonishing how many of these claims appear on the internet and in the news from time to time, and then simply vanish. we only have to observe the muted response from the HIV community on this latest claim to see just how demoralised sufferers of this disease are. Its heartbreaking for those who are either living with or affected by HIV in someway to have these claims made form various profit ,not for profit organisations, for everything to then go quiet which seems to always be the case. What would be great is if we could see a timetable laid out for the process of testing and trial with results or news updates after each passing date on that timetable published as they go.
I believe the BUSH administration is derailing any progress towards a cure for HIV. Hell, they have already derailed all the progress made in prevention efforts. It as if they would rather the "scum" get this virus and die. Just my opinion, I DO NOT trust him.

Biotech and Pharma Companies could go a long way towards improving their battered "profiteering" images by adopting this approach. Infact it would be great if goverment could enforce this basic principle, since it would drastically reduce the number of dishonest misleading claims that are made in the name of profit and image building. The caring side of big business appears to be greatly lacking as does the caring side of goverment!
